The Bernard Osher
Foundation was established in 1977 to benefit
a wide range of educational and cultural activities.
The Foundation has provided funding to create Osher
Lifelong Learning Institutes at 119 universities in 48
states in the United States.
UC Riverside's OLLI provides a stimulating learning experience at a modest cost that enriches the intellectual, social, and cultural lives of people over the age of 50. Our courses are only open to OLLI members, so learning takes place in a peer environment. There are no tests or grades and no entrance exams or minimum educational background restrictions — the only requirement is a love of learning.
UC Riverside offers education to 17,000 undergraduate and graduate
students and has a projected enrollment of 22,000 students by 2015.
It is the fastest growing and most ethnically diverse campus of the
pre-eminent 10-campus University of California system, the largest
public research university in the world.
